music is a journey…
one that we embark on our whole lives.
Opening our ears to listen, our hearts to feel,
and our mouths to sing, music allows us to be vulnerable.
Whether you’re here to grow or listen
I am glad to be a part of your journey.

In life we come across feelings that are difficult to express in words, and for those moments we have art to fill in the gaps. Music theory allows you the freedom to express your feelings, thoughts, and emotions through song, instrument, and lyric!
This is one of my guiding principles for psychotherapy: We are people, not our mental illness. I want my client to find their voice through my therapy, and overcome their trauma in a setting that is calm, accepting, and non-triggering.
I’ve been working in the field for four years now, from helping parents and their toddlers in a preschool to helping recovering addicts in a rehab. I’m open to helping those from all walks of life dealing with problems such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, addiction, gender dysphoria, developing coping mechanisms, and much, much more!
Part of being a musician is understanding when to turn the music off and appreciate the beauty that comes with silence and speech. Knowing the importance of music, therapy, and the way these do (or sometimes don't) go together is what makes a music therapist great! I'm here for you no matter how much music enters the session.
Having been a part of the LGBT community my entire life I am beyond happy to work with those in the community as well. I understand the struggles that come with being queer, and I’m more than happy to be accommodating to those seeking financial aid.
Hello! My name is Love Them, MS, MT-BC, I use they/them pronouns, I’m based in Media, Pennsylvania, and I’m a music therapist. I offer music psychotherapy through a humanistic and person-centered lens - treating each of my clients with the individuality and respect they deserve. When I’m not playing music with a client, you’ll typically find me working on music for my own personal project. On the rare occasion you don’t see me with a guitar I’ll be reading a book on ghosts, playing a video game about ghosts, or taking a walk and thinking about ghosts.
I wasn’t joking when I said music is my passion! Alongside the music therapy I provide for my clients I am always working on new music to share my story. Recently, I released Boy, Are My Arms Tired!! in collaboration with my dear friend Yo! The Moon - an album about the fear of growing up.
Something I tell my clients often is that life is about growing and changing, and I am no exception. My other works are released under my previous name Travis Love Benson, however, from here on out they will be under TheyLoveThem - sign up for my newsletter to keep up to date!
